Who am I?  
I attribute my unique perspective in the way I serve my clients to distinct career experiences coupled with a "seeking" spirit. 
First, opportunities to redesign and reshape my professional journey have provided me with an authentic understanding of the importance of curiosity, flexibility, empathy, iterative thinking, tenacity, and opportunity recognition. I value and strive to hone these skills daily.
Second, my work within the realms of strategic advisory services, professional development design and presentation, product/market analysis, and successful creation and management of two small businesses inform my understanding of the unique challenges that a client may be experiencing. 
Finally, I believe in the transformative power of continuous learning to foster growth in humans and organizations. This belief is validated through collections of experiences within the educational sector.  Teaching, administrating, serving students and families in diverse environments from Pre-Kindergarten through High School is one collective component.  Collaborating with and leading learning opportunities for the adults with whom I work in my role as a leader within a large school district comprises another.
My seeking spirit drives me to learn new ways to collaborate, communicate, and  tell stories, through digital tools. This same spirit drove a desire to diversify my skills further-I obtained a Master's Degree in Executive Leadership Studies and a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership.

What does EmpirAlign mean?

Opportunities for growth can't come to fruition without analyzing the current state of any organization.  Gathering empirical evidence-based on, concerned with, or verifiable by observation or experience-is a critical step in creating solutions to transform a culture and an environment. Aligning that evidence with ideas, a vision, and collaborative synergy creates the foundation for success.  
The name EmpirAlign, inspired by Chris Thompson, reflects the marriage of alignment between empirical evidence, vision, and collaborative synergy. The segments of the EmpirAlign broken circle icon, designed by ​David Pollard, reflect the five senses used in empirical observation, with one segment sliding into place, or aligning, to create a whole.
